Abstract

This article examines how Egyptian youth utilize artificial intelligence tools, their level of awareness about these tools, and how digital culture influences their interaction with AI. It also explores the risks, such as deepfakes and bias, and how these factors impact their social lives and behavior, particularly as everything becomes increasingly digital, creating a gap in the widespread adoption of AI tools. It has a limited understanding of the user's ethical and practical concerns regarding the usage of this AI tool. Functional aspects pose a significant challenge in Egypt's evolving digital environment. The study conducted a quantitative research approach, including data from a quantitative survey of 436 Egyptian youth. The findings revealed how youth utilize AI, how they think critically, the possibilities and challenges presents, and the implications it has for society. Data analysis is conducted on the surveyed data, focusing on critical awareness, responsible use, and the broader impact of AI tools. The study examines the interaction patterns of youth usage, the consequences of a lack of critical and analytical thinking. In Egypt youth frequently utilize AI for various purposes, including learning, creating, entertainment, how  these algorithms work, what happens with their data. The research highlights several practical steps to address this issue, including running more awareness campaigns, enhancing digital literacy, and developing more effective policies. It examines both the benefits and the risks of youth using AI, advocating for a more thoughtful and ethical approach to technology. Furthermore, the study offers a deeper insight into how constant exposure to AI influences the way future generations use technology responsibly.
