Inaugural Issue of HAUS

Horizons in Architecture and Urban Studies Journal

We are pleased to announce the launch of HAUS: Horizons in Architecture and Urban Studies Journal and invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners to submit their contributions for the First Issue. HAUS is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing research in architecture, urbanism, and interdisciplinary domains. Our mission is to provide a platform for innovative and high-quality scholarship that address critical issues in the built environment

Scope of the Journal

We welcome original research articles, theoretical explorations, and critical analyses in the following areas:

Design and Theory – Investigations into design methodologies, architectural theory, and critical discourse.

Educational Approaches – Innovations in pedagogy, architectural education, and new teaching strategies.

History and Conservation – Studies in architectural history, heritage preservation, and conservation practices.

Sustainability – Research on environmental, social, and economic sustainability in architecture and urban design.

Social and Cultural Aspects – Studies on the relationship between society, culture, and the built environment, including environmental behavior research.

Technology – Advancements in digital tools, construction technologies, material science, and their applications in architecture and urbanism.

HAUS encourages research that bridges architecture and urban studies with other disciplines, reflecting diverse global challenges, opportunities, and cultural perspectives. Contributions should offer new insights, theoretical frameworks, or critical evaluations of contemporary and historical practices.

Submission Guidelines

Submission open July 2025.

Deadline for submissions 1st October 2025.

Expected publication date December 2025.
