: Call for papers: Volume 1 issue 1

Living in an era that witnesses rapid transformation of social realities, convergence of practices, and conflation of activities, and attempting to advance understanding of these transformations and capture their intricacies, the traditional disciplinary boundaries should be pushed through theoretical and methodological innovations offering new paradigms and epistemological perspectives on diverse topics and areas of knowledge. Within this view, Insights into Language, Culture and Communication (ILCC) announces its first call for papers aiming at assimilating various social practices and establishing the relevance of existing frameworks and understandings of communication and culture. The call thus welcomes what new approaches are possible to address the current state of affairs, the new social realities and the emerged practices, and what fresh insights they bring.

ILCC welcomes original research articles, case studies, book reviews, review papers and works in progress. The editorial board encourages submissions from a wide range of disciplines intersecting humanities and social sciences, including but not limited to: Linguistics, applied linguistics, literary studies, cultural studies, critical theory, media studies, translation studies, philosophy, sociology, gender studies, visual arts, anthropology (cultural and linguistic), arts, folklore, heritage studies and political science, all of which assist scholars to ‘shoe-horn’ their multidisciplinary arguments. The aim is to build a community of authors and readers to discuss the latest research and develop new ideas and research directions. For any inquiries related to the CFP, please contact the Editorial Office at (dr.abeer.refky@aast.edu).
